Update 4

Ok, at last, here is Update 4! This may not be as structured of a changelog as some earlier updates, but it's a pretty massive update otherwise as it changes the look of the game pretty drastically in some ways.

First and foremost, some new shaders and effects have been added - such as a screenspace outline to try and make it have a bit more than just plain flat colors.

Second, the hud has been redesigned a bit, improving it in many aspects. For example, the basic health hud is no longer a still image being masked - it is now a line that animates! There are also new UI sounds that can be heard as well that I've made.

Third, on top of the hud redesign, the laptops found in the world have also been redesigned! The mission selection on the laptop in the apartment has also been majorly revamped, however, I'm still not 100% happy with the graphics for it so it will likely change a bit later.

Also related to laptops - the articles on the ones found in missions have been reworked a bit! Instead of simply picking a random article to show, it will now only show articles that are available and was previously unseen (some articles will now only appear later in the game, at higher rep levels) and you can now also view these articles using a new tab in the inventory. These articles will be expanding and evolving over time.

Finally, the last major new addition is some melee weapon improvements! Namely, there is now more than one melee animation per weapon. There are also 4 new melee weapons, 2 of which I've made spawn exclusively in missions for now.

As the main focus of this update was graphics and UI, there aren't a lot of obvious fixes and improvements and I neglected to keep track of them, so I just have one:
~implemented a possible fix for the rare chance that an enemy that was told to go to a location could get stuck if they could not path to said location

And that's it for this update! This next month I'm going to focus on adding new areas and possibly a new faction, we'll see. As always check the trello for an idea of what I'm currently working on or doing. I realize trello isn't the easiest thing to keep up with - I'm considering opening a discord server to post progress updates in. That server would likely just contain an announcement channel for that and nothing else though, so we'll see. Regardless, keep an eye out in the next month or so for Update 5!
